Description

Mixed media portrait of one of the high school students involved in my Roll Models project at Maine College of Art in 2006. Six students posed for me over a period of two semesters - in exchange they received intaglio printmaking instruction after school in the MECA print department. They posed wearing their street clothes, and then they asked me if I would do costumed portraits of them. Of course I agreed! Emily posed wearing this child's dress-up set from the toy store. I used one of my daughter Lisbeth's cut snowflakes as a stencil to spray paint the lacey pattern in the parasol.
