Black and Gold Forever

This refab original is a skirt and a dress! You decide how you want to wear it, and it looks great both ways.
I have started with a vintage knit black skirt with gold metallic threads, it's great for evenings. I cut it and stitched with the machine, in a topsy turvy curvy outer stitch in gold thread. (see close up pix) I threaded a thick gold tone rope through the top so it can be tied in back. it works as a strapless adjustable dress, as shown, or slide it down and wear it with a slinky black top and tie at the waist!
I am including two extra pieces of the rope, so you can tie it in as many different ways as you please, I have shown the shorter rope as a belt on the dress.

This dress/skirt can fit almost anyone because it has the adjustable tie. I think it may be too roomy on an extra small gal, but it can go as large as 42" in the band (which would be the area above your chest, just below your armpits, or the waist in the skirt!)
