bright journals are perfect for scribbling down diary entries, writing grocery lists, secreting secrets, or pretty much anything else that you'd need a little notebook-type object for. to make them i use paper that was going to be thrown away, print lines on the perfectly blank backside, and in a few short moves ta da! give new life to would-be landfill fodder.

i use these myself constantly, so i and several of my friends can vouch for their usability and durability. unlike many handbound journals, they lay flat so that you can actually write in them! each one is lovingly and individually crafted, from folding each page to punching each hole to tying each ribbon, and has a one-of-a-kind cover that all of your friends will covet.

these little books are surprisingly durable - trust me, if they can survive in my bag for months on end, they can survive anywhere. for all of their beauty they're totally functional, and that's my favorite kind of object. i hope it will be one of your favorites too.
