Ceramic tiles -Batik rectangles-
Description
These shiny and textured handmade ceramic tiles are one of a kind!They show the ornamental style of textures made with old batik fabric stamps, that were pushed in the clay to capture their marks.
These two tiles were made from white stoneware clay that was treated with engobe (colored clay powder) and cobalt oxide. They were glazed at 1040 degrees Celsius.
Sizes: One tile measures 11cm x 8.5cm (about 4.25" x 3.5"), the other measures 13cm x 6cm (about 5.25" x 2.25").
