bernie - crocheted dog softie

Are you the kind of person that really wants a dog, but don't have the time or space for one? Well I have just the dog for you. Bernie here never needs walked or fed or visits to the vet. All he needs is someone to hug.

Why is he named Bernie? Because he's brown and maroon and I think Bernie is the perfect name for a brown & maroon striped dog. Don't you?

Bernie was crocheted by me using no pattern, I just make it up as I go along. And again I got kind of carried away with the length of the nose. Bernie is almost all nose. And such a cute nose it is.

Bernie is brown, maroon & red marbled suede acrylic yarn with brown acrylic suede stripes. He's stuffed with small pebbles at the paws and butt for pose-ability along with lots of poly-fill. His face is crafted from felt. His gorgeous collar is crocheted with a fun specialty yarn and the jewel hanging in place of the tag is a laminated paper collage. Did I mention that Bernie is super squishy and very huggable?

Bernie measures 20" / 50.8cm from ear tip to toe, the diameter of his head including that nose is 17" / 43.18cm and his belly is 12" / 30.48cm around. His darling little tail is 6" / 15.24cm long.
