Here is a great story writen be jkaela
Zoe the Zebra
Zoe the zebra was curious. She wanted to know why.
Zoe was also impatient. She wanted to know why and she wanted to know NOW. She did not like to wait.
"Why is the sky blue, Mama? Why do zebras have stripes? Why do leopards have spots?"
She was full of questions and full of curiosity. Her mama was very patient and tried to answer her questions, but very often said, "I just don't know, Zoe, you'll have to find out your self." But that often meant waiting to find out, which Zoe didn't like.
One day as Zoe was walking through the tall grass of the savanna, pondering how the grass gets so tall, she bumped right into an elephant! The elephant was very big and very gray.
"Hello!" shouted Zoe. "What are you? Where do you live? Why are you so gray? Why are you so big? WHAT is wrong with your leg??"
The elephant slowly turned to look at Zoe. "I am Enid, and I am an African elephant. I live in the African savanna. I am gray and big because it helps me to survive. And I…"
"Your leg is all bandaged up!" interrupted Zoe, who was getting impatient. "Why is it bandaged? What's wrong with it?"
Before Enid could answer, Zoe ran behind the elephant and started poking the bandage curiously.
"Ow! Please stop!" Enid the elephant howled. Suddenly her leg started shaking and Enid fell on Zoe, making her as flat as a pancake!
"Young lady," said Enid as she got up and slowly walked away from a very flat and very flabbergasted Zoe, "You must have some patience. My leg is broken and very unreliable. If you would have waited for my answer, surely you would not be so flat!"
From that day on, Zoe the zebra, still curious, waited politely to find the answers.
If you see Zoe and you're curious, you can ask her why she is flat. She will very patiently tell you her tale.
