Vintage Medicine Sipper / Pitcher
Description
Medicine sippers were used in the Victorian era to administer tonics and teas to invalids and others who couldn't sit up to take their medicine. This particular sipper is stamped with the initials of a hospital on the bottom, however, I don't know the hospital's name. It measures a little under 7 inches in length and about 2 inches tall. Just as a note: This is not a neti pot though I suppose it could be used as one. It's a lovely form and clean with nice lines and balance and would make a truly interesting cream pitcher for the tea table!Added on Nov 06, 2009
