Lady Melinda capelet

This stunning capelet was inspired by one of my favorite all time movies. On A Clear Day You Can See Forever. It stars Barbara Streisand as a woman who when hypnotized to quit smoking has a past life regression. In her past life she was Lady Melinda a 19th century temptress.

This capelet is part of my fantasy collection. Every woman needs a little fantasy in her life. This gorgeous cape is perfect for that special night. I think it will look beautiful dressed up~ perfect for a wedding or party. Just the thing to keep your shoulders warm and your date's eye on you! Intriguing, mysterious, sensuous~ have fun with this piece of wearable art.

Handknit with two different yarns around the neckline. I used a gorgeous art yarn (purchased here on Etsy from Kittygrrlz) This yarn has a mixture of lovely purple, pink, fushia colored yarns all spun together. The second yarn is a yummy, soft acrylic mix yarn in a super feminine shade of light pink. The cape fastens with a beautiful czech button that is hand sewn onto the cape. The bottom of the cape is pure whimsy! A large ruffle adored the bottom of this cape, a truly unique and flirty design. This capelet was created with much care and love and is my own pattern.

The cape measures 33 inches at neckline, 50 inches at bottom and 13.5 inches from bottom to top. One size fits most.
