Viking Knit Necklace

I wove this necklace with sterling silver wire. I used a technique called Viking knit. It took *many* hours to complete.

Viking knit is a looping technique that was used by the Vikings for jewelry and clothing. It preceded traditioning knitting by centuries.

I made every bit of this necklace -- the endcaps, the clasp, and the necklace itself. The only thing I didn't make was the sterling silver wire!

It is 16 inches (406mm) long.
