Comfort foods for the two-year-old palate, these are always on hand around here. And you'll never forget to buy them at the grocery store if you write your lists in these cheerful little notebooks.

So much paper comes into and out of our lives every day. I keep a box for paper that deserves a second chance at usefulness -- most of the pages are used on one side and blank on the other.

I cut these papers by hand, one at a time, on my little paper slicer, then had them spiral-bound. These journals are the result. The covers are product packaging. The notebooks contain mostly unlined pages, with a few lined ones thrown in.

Wouldn't these would make a fantastic "mommy" gift for a baby shower? If she's not buying these snacks yet, tell her to wait a year or so and she will be!

Or give them to your child's teachers: A whimsical but practical gift. Give them to your co-worker: Wouldn't taking notes at meetings be more fun in a notebook that proclaims, "100 percent juice"?

Or, if you don't feel like sharing, keep them in your bag for when you need to jot a shopping list, leave a love note in a mailbox, or write a list of ways to save the world.

The two larger notebook are 5.5 by 4.25 inches. The smaller one (from a Cheerios "mini box") is 2.5 by 4 inches. About fifty pages in each.
