Tranquility - Original Mixed Media Encaustic Painting by Sue Simpson

This is a 5 x 5 inch birch panel is an original encaustic painting. The edges of the painting are painted brown using oil paint. Simply titled Tranquility. Signed and dated by Camano Island artist Sue Simpson. This painting is done with the encaustic medium for depth, texture and a completely unique look.

Encaustic wax has a very high melting temperature so you should not have any problems with melting. As with any original art work, exposure to direct sunlight or an open heat source should be avoided.
