My favorite color blends create a cold evening landscape. I love the blue hues and this painting flows with shades of blue throughout. Phosphorescent blue acrylic lights up this moon and stars when the lights are off. Size 8"x 6"x 7/8" on 10 streched canvas with Neodymium magnets embedded in the frame so you can pop'em up on any metal surface.

Since 1996 I have created over 29,700 pieces of unique pieces of magnetic art. In late 2007 just over a year ago I began to paint on a cloth canvas instead of a vinyl one. I had to stick, no pun intended, to the magnetic theme. A friend named Dave Logsden who is an amazing magnet creator gave me the idea to embed the Neodymium magnets into the canvases and I was off and running.

If you look up my last name, Gauss, in the dictionary, it actually means unit of magnetic energy. I'm a distant cousin of the mathematician Karl Friedrich Gauss. He discovered the mathematical theory of magnetism. So in a way I'm following my destiny.
