Meandering Pebbles Sterling Necklace
Description
This is a new series I'm working on. The idea is to replicate the random shapes formed by and found in nature. These shapes in particular remind me of the current-formed pebbles that might be found in the bed of a river.The necklace started as a coil of wire: rings of various diameter were hand-sawed, soldered shut, manipulated into random shapes with pliers, then placed together as if nestling and soldered in place. The almost-finished piece was then hammered, sanded and brushed to achieve the shiny-matte finish that you see now.
The chain is about 16-17" in length and all of the materials are sterling silver.
This is a one-of-a-kind necklace.
