Red Spiral Earrings

Description

These red dichroic glass earrings have a silver spiral embedded within each, and they are handmade in my rural Ohio studio. (I don't make duplicates - every piece is different whether in color or shape or bead selection!)

Dichroic - which is Greek for two-color - glass was invented originally by NASA, but found its home with glass artists, as its beauty and incandescence are beyond compare. Dichroic glass is really tough to photograph well, but suffice it to say that if you love these earrings in the photo, you will love them even more when you hold them in your hand. Head on, the earrings have a beautiful red color. When viewed from the side, the glass appears to become orange-red.

All of the wire on each earring is .925 sterling, and each earring measures roughly 1 3/8" (3.4 cm) tall by 1/2" (1.4 cm) wide. Each piece of my jewelry comes in a gift box or gift bag, and every piece is signed and dated.

All of my jewelry is made from compatible glass, and fired s-l-o-w-l-y to ensure durability and avoid shock.

If you would like to substitute the french hooks for posts, ear threads, leverbacks or hoops, please let me know in the notes to the seller and I can change them for you. This may change the overall look of the earrings. Clips are also available but require special order.
