Copper Double Spiral Chainmail Necklace

Description

This chainmaille (chainmail) necklace was handmade by winding copper wire into a coil. The coil was then sawed apart into individual rings. The rings were woven in a pattern known as Double Spiral. A handmade copper clasp was then added.

This necklace is delicate and lightweight. It is approximately 19 ¾ inches (50.2 cm) in length, including the clasp, and approximately 3/16 inches (.48 cm) in width. I can shorten or lengthen this necklace upon request.

This necklace is shiny copper, but will develop a rich brown color with age. If you would like it to remain shiny it can be cleaned with copper cleaner or a paste made from lemon juice and salt.
