Description

To make Phantasmagoria, first I made the grey-pink felt from Cotswold locks, silk throwsters waste and wool roving. Then I added tiny metal hoops covered in buttonhole stitch, and a multitude of multicoloured French and colonial knot stitches in linen, silk, and rayon threads. The top and bottom edges of the felt have been finished with buttonhole stitch in delicate purple-grey.

The felt is set onto a vintage brass tag background to make a pendant (3cm x 6cm, or 1 1/8" x 2 1/4" approx.), and the necklace is finished off with a delicate brass chain, which measures 18", and has a lobster clasp closure.

I loved making this pendant. She is one-of-a-kind, and there will never be another quite like her! I hope whoever gets to take her home will love her just as much!
