Muted Rainbow Ruffle Shawl or Baby Blanket

Description

Luxurious 100% merino wool shawl. Merino wool is a fine fiber and isn't itchy like many other wools are.

This one of a kind shawl is hand knit by me, on small (3.25mm/US 3) needles using cobweb lace yarn (that's about as fine as sewing thread). The result is a very fine, soft, flowy fabric. It is light as a feather to wear, but because it is wool it will keep the chill away.

I added a wonderful ruffle to the edge of this shawl to add to it's feminine appeal.

This shawl took months to create. The very last row on the ruffles took a little over four hours to complete in and of itself.

The shawl would be a fabulous heirloom piece if used as a baby blanket. Can you imagine your sweet baby wrapped in this during special occasions? Beautiful!

Wear it with your favourite little black dress or with your favourite pair of jeans. Wear it as an extra comfy scarf in winter to keep the chill off your neck. Shawls are very versatile if you use a little imagination :)

Measurements (un-stretched): 65" wide at it's widest point and 36" long at it's longest point.

CARE: HAND WASH ONLY in cold water. Lay flat to dry.
