Necklace with Multicolored Fine Silver Pendant

Description

This fine silver pendant was made with PMC with a lovely floral design stamped into it. The design was then hand-painted with resin for an enamel look. The pendant is hung on a black cord which is finished with a sterling silver clasp. Pendant is approximately 1 x 1 1/2 inches; necklace is approximately 23 inches long.

PMC (Precious Metal Clay) is a medium in which fine silver particles are suspended in an organic binder. It can be worked much like any other clay. Once it has been dried, it is fired at a high heat. The binder is burned away and the silver particles fuse to each other, so the final product is a piece of fine silver, or .999 silver.
