Fuschia (ooak, art doll, seahorse)

Description

Sweet little Fuschia is the first seahorse to be introduced to my shop here on Etsy. Like many of us, she has many aspects to her personality. One side is bright and exuberant, colorful to the extreme. The other side of her is a bit toned down, more mellow, but with flashes of color. She is eager to swim into your life, she promises not to make a mess, she only wants to brighten your day.

Fuschia is 2 1/2" (6cm) long and 1 3/8" (3.5cm) front to back.

All of my dolls are OOaK (one of a kind) made from patterns of my own design, no 2 are ever alike. This is particulary true of my seahorses as each one is drawn directly onto the fabric and I never use any pattern for them. Each one takes several hours to make and in that time develops into a being with its own personality.

The seahorses have a loop attached to hang them, from a shelf edge, a tree branch or where ever you would like a little color, whimsy, and magic.

The make excellent decorations, where ever you want a spot of color or character. They are for display only, they are not made to stand up to children’s play or contact with chewing pets.

Fuschia is made from batiked quilter's cotton.

All it takes is an invitation from you to join your family and this delightful little character will be happy to come spread some magic and joy in your home, though sometimes they feel a bit mischievous they seldom act on such impulses.
