Description

I found a woman's home economics scrapbooks from the 1940's, and I based my drawings on outfits she put together in her scrapbook. Her essay (seen in the background) was about the three things she wanted to accomplish that year, and one of them was to have smoother, softer hands... To find out what her other two goals were, purchase the print, and I'll include a xerox of her original hand written essay as an added bonus!

I adapted this essay and some of the text found within the scrapbooks to create this little print, and the original work was made by layering silkscreen prints on top of a monoprint (oil painting on glass transferred to paper) background.

The image measures 5" x 5", printed onto 8" x 10" heavy high-quality, archival matte photo stock (thick and bright white) and will come to you sandwiched between cardboard so that it will stay flat. It was professionally printed in a print shop, and there is a 1.5" white border on each side of the image, a 2" border on top of the image, and a 3" border at the bottom of the image. Signed and shipped flat between cardboard.
