This hand painted fabric reminds me of a thunderstorm brewing after a particularly hot humid August day. I like to think of a favorite singer here too...Neil Diamond. Painted with textile paint on 100% cotton broadcloth.

Fat Quarter (22-1/2” x 19-1/2”)

Hand painted fabrics are used in many creative ways, including as backgrounds in art quilting, piecing in traditional quilts, delicate petals and more in applique quilts, as well as in fiber arts, mixed media, fabric postcards, art dolls, bags, framed art and home decor.

The hand painted fabrics are painted with textile paint, that does not alter the hand of the fabric, and then heat set. The fabrics can be machine washed and damp-dried (I’ve done so many times) and pressed. Abrasion can crock off some pearl and metallic paints.

As with any textile, do not leave fabrics in prolonged sun exposure.
