Pool Beaded Silk Brooch

Description

A round brooch made from handdyed silk and wool felt. It is quilted and then stitched with freshwater pearls, crystal and glass beads. The edge is stitched with tiny seed beads in a lacy pattern. This brooch is shades of blue.

This brooch is about 1 1/2 inches across, stitched to a small pin back. Wear it on a lapel, like a cameo at the collar of a shirt, or pin it to a ribbon for a unique choker necklace.

Each bead is handstitched - I sometimes use up to 30 different kinds of beads in each pin or pendant.
