Island Time - LOST Steampunk Assemblage Clockwork Bracelet OOAK

Description

This unique bracelet features a man's 1.5"x1.5" Timex watch that has been altered. The internal workings of the watch were removed, as well as the hands. I then cut off and smoothed down the lugs and distressed the finish all the way around the bezel and casing to give the watch a beat-up look and goes perfectly with the cracked crystal.

I also distressed the watch face and attached a weathered copper disc to it and placed a wire sculpture "Lost" inside of the casing. The "Lost" wire sculpture floats freely inside the case and is not attached.

The watch is wired with sealed copper to a bracelet made with 5mm bone skulls, green Czech glass cathedral window beads, white puka shells, and silver-tone embossed rings.

This bracelet is fitted perfectly to my wrist, which is 7". It was hard to measure the bracelet itself because it is made to conform to the wrist and keep that shape. I can make this bracelet bigger, but I cannot make it smaller, since it has no links to remove. Closes with a lobster claw clasp....a very secure bracelet.

It is a totally unique and one of a kind piece of jewelry; perfect for anyone who is a fan, like I am, of the TV series, "Lost."

I love, love, love, the TV show "Lost"!!! This is the second year I've created a piece to commemorate the series. Last year it was a charm necklace and this year, it is this completely unique, one of a kind, assemblage bracelet.

I named this piece "Island Time" because I love the way they tied in the time travel element with the island. Interestingly enough, "island time" is a real phrase coined by people who learned the hard way that if someone in the Bahamas (or any other Caribbean for that matter) says they will meet you at 11:00 am, they might not show up until 4:30 pm...or not at all.

The island on "Lost" takes this notion to the extreme. This watch is perfect for fans of the TV series, "Lost" or maybe just for folks who see time as relative, instead of linear.
