ACEO - Stairwell of Gettysburg Original Photograph

I took this photo in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, the site of some of the most brutal fighting of Civil War. If you have not visited Gettysburg before, there are monuments all over the battlegrounds in memory of the soldiers who lost their lives. This photo was shot from the top of the castle monument for New York down the stairwell.

ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals and they are highly collectible (and addictive!) miniature pieces of art that are created in a variety of different media as originals or prints. The only distinguishing characteristic of an ACEO is its size 2.5 x 3.5 inches, which is the size of a baseball card.

They are perfect to put in albums or put in a frame. I love collecting them and now I am sharing some of my own!

(You may be also interested to know that I am extremely scared of closed in stairwells, so to get this shot my boyfriend had to go up the stairs and yell down how many steps it was and then make sure no one else was on the stairs for me to go up them. What we do for art!)
