Crochet Death Dollie Grim Reaper - Masque of the Red Death
Description
Inspired by:"The Masque of the Red Death", (1842) a short story by Edgar Allan Poe. The story follows many traditions of Gothic fiction and is often analyzed as an allegory about the inevitability of death. The final line of the story sums up: "And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all."
A lady reaper is never without her scythe even while attending a fancy Masquerade Ball. Which is why Red's is small and discreet. She has a removable mask though her identity is not that easy to hide. The bow under her hood adds a sense of youthful whimsy.
She stands 6"/15.25cm at the tip of her curly hooded cloak and 4.5"/11.5cm with it off. There are dried peas in the base so she stands on her own.
