Description

This ring is part of an ongoing series of work inspired by the giant tangled kelp washed up on the western beaches of New Zealand. It is fabricated from sterling silver wire which is hammered, shaped and woven together in a tangled fashion. Drop cast silver inclusions are added, creating more texture and dimension.

This ring is particularly interesting in that the inclusions, looking like flowers, pods and a shell are located all on one side while the seaweed ends are on the other. There is a definite division of design in the ring yet the placement of the cast pieces create a nice wavy movement across the ring.

This is a unique piece. Although other kelp rings have and will be made, no two are exactly alike.

This ring is a size 8 & 1/2 and ready for immediate shipment. Ring size can be adjusted up or down several sizes. A similar ring can be made for large sizes. Please specify when purchasing.
