Rhyodacite Puff Coin - Half Strand
Description
Rhyolite, very similar in composition to granite but with much more finely grained crystals, is composed mainly of silicon-rich quartz, feldspar, mica, and hornblende, and is formed when lava erupts from a volcano and then cools very quickly, giving portions of the stone a glassy appearance.
The colors in these beads range from an opaque taupey-gray to a soft rose pink, to deeper brown and blues, in a rugged, rocky pattern.
The beads are Puffed Coins that measure 20mm.
This listing is for a half strand - approximately 8 inches. You will receive 10 beads in all.
This is a great bead to use for a more rugged, bold creation.
