One Large Brown Leather Vintage Button with Leather Shank

Buttons are so collectible and so utilitarian at the same time. After spending some time with my mother and sister working on a craft project, my mom unearthed this tin of vintage buttons that was originally my grandmother’s. My grandmother was a prolific seamstress, and a young woman during the depression (yes, the Great one we’re comparing today’s economy to). Many of her buttons are still on the original cards, but many were cut off of suits, coats and dresses no longer worn.

Enjoy and buy! Use them for your own sewing or craft projects. Turn them into jewelry. Or simply start your own button collection.
