Tiny (Cyan / Jade) --- Enamel on Glass (with Etched Finish) Necklace

Description

Tiny and soft-spoken.

A small, cyan glass tile was enameled with an Art Nouveau-inspired design in Jade green enamel and kiln-fired until its edges took on just the right amount of pillowy softness. It was then etched for the perfect frosted glass finish, and topped with a square sterling tube bail, hung on a sterling silver chain.

The perfect “wear-it-everyday” necklace.

The design on this pendant has been made by applying enamel (finely ground glass) onto glass which is then fused in a kiln to about 1500 degrees. (The design is not a laser printer decal.)

A typical glass firing is several hours long to slowly bring the glass up to and down from the peak temperature, ensuring proper annealing. This prevents internal stresses from being formed within the glass which may otherwise cause the glass to crack or break.

: Length: 0.625 inches (1.588 cm)
: Width: 0.688 inches (1.75 cm)
: Thickness: approx 0.157 inch (3 mm)

The square tube bail (which is about 3mm tall) is sterling silver and is securely adhered to the glass with an industrial-strength glue.

Chain is sterling silver curb.
Necklace length: 18 inches (45.72 cm).

A shorter, 16-inch (40.64 cm) sterling chain is available upon request (with no price difference). Please request this shorter chain in the "message to seller" when checking out.

Alternatively, a longer, 24-inch (60.9 cm) chain is available for $2 extra. Please request this longer chain in the "message to seller" when checking out and wait for an adjusted invoice to be emailed to you before completing payment.

[Please note: If you'd like to wear this pendant with a your own chain or cable, you may need to open and replace a jump ring at one end of the chain in order to slip the pendant off.]
