4 X 6 Maple Picture Frame with Reddish Brown Dye

I made this frame in my home wood working shop here in Maine, from Soft Maple which is a hardwood. I sawed and kiln dried it, then hand picked pieces of wood to make this beautiful frame. The wood I use in this frame is about 5/8" thick and about 1 1/4" wide. The Reddish Brown Dye brings out the natural beauty of the wood.

I use clamping pressure when gluing the frames and also use v nails for added long lasting strength. This frame is heirloom quality and will last a long time. I use 1 coat dye and 3 coats of non toxic poly with linseed oil for a satin finish that requires only regular dusting or furniture cleaner for maintenance.

This frame will hold a 4 x 6 piece of art or photo and or matte. The buyer will need to matte their art and buy glass if needed from a local glass cutter. The buyer will need to use fasteners of their own to keep their art in as we have no way of knowing how thick the buyers art will be. Some people choose to use small finish nails when inserting art. I can mount a saw tooth hanger on these frames if buyer requests in message to seller when purchasing, Or I can enclose the saw tooth hangers if requested. Other wise none will be included in the sale.
