Crazy Casserole Pot Toppers - Crochet pattern

It is winter here in Australia and we often have casserole, soup or curries for dinner. The lids are always so hot, so I came up with a series of crochet casserole pot toppers.

This pattern set includes instructions for the following casserole and hot pot animals: Chicken, pigeon, lamb, pig, beef, rabbit and duck. There are also some additional instructions for a plain round pot topper and hot pad.

Materials required include 8ply, worsted weight yarn, and a 4mm, size 8 crochet hook.

As with all my patterns they come in a pdf file and are written in both Australian and American instructions. I have done all the hard work with the translations for you!

They are a glamourised pot holder, but have a bit of attitude. I reckon they look kinda crazy on top of the casserole dishes. These make novel gifts for kitchen teas, or keep them for your self to liven up the dinner table.
