Description
The Kanji character for "Flower"Garden sculpture of glass and brass.
Wind, rain and snow proof.
Sure-fire conversation piece.
Feral Glass runs wild in your garden. Adds color even when your flowers are asleep and snow covers everything else.
Dimensions of the glass are 10" high by 10.5" wide. The brass legs extend another 6", for a total height of 16" Pushing it 2.5" into the soil will give you firm footing against even high winds, while still keeping the glass a couple of inches above the lawn.
The antiqued black patina will continue to oxidize in the rain and moisture, resulting in a soft natural finish.
Shipped via Priority Mail, fully insured and with delivery confirmation.
The open-air design has good aesthetic qualities, and also allows the wind to pass by with no effect.
Alexander Caldor said he developed Mobiles in order to allow Nature to be a co-creator with the Artist. When I made my outdoor panels I faced a similar choice.
I could either make a panel like a fortress, fighting the wind. Or I could develop my art so that it co-exists with Nature, and is one with the elements.
Why wait for the sunlight to reach your window? Putting the stained glass out in the open allows you to enjoy it all day long. The colors glow, shifting as the sun moves by.
