This mixed media collage was inspired by one of my daughter's books, called "The Tiny Seed". It covers the journey of a tiny seed as it travels far across the land; finally growing into an enormous flower that towers over everything. The flower that grew in the story wasn't a tulip, but I am particularly fond of tulips (especially pink ones), so that's what I created...
This piece measures 8" x 10" and is done on a quality canvas--no staples in the sides. Edges are painted black, so there is no need to frame. This artwork (like all of my 'grubby-prim' art) is treated with aging polish for a vintage / antique-y look and it is sealed with a matte varnish for preservation purposes.
