I began creating Your Lovey Lap Blankets when my 90 year old grandfather went into a nursing home. He spent most of his time in a wheelchair, so these were just the right size. He was legally blind and almost completely deaf, however he still enjoyed his sense of touch. This sense was more developed since his other senses were failing. I brought him a super plush minky lap blanket and he began to pat it like an animal. I sewed in a small flannel square for his name and I will include this service for free for anyone who needs this due to an environment other than the home.

The reversible 2 layers of minky create a silky and soft experience. The fabric is very light and does not cause him to get too warm underneath.

The Lovey lap blanket is top stitched for extra strength and can be washed any old way.

I would be happy to make a custom blanket as well...just let me know your preference. An option may be to have different types of minky on each side, or to use favorite colors...please let me know your request.
