primavera small shawl spring scarf 4

Description

the fourth in my series of spring scarves is a reinterpretation of the classic granny square motif. primavera shouts spring, and is a versatile little piece. the top three pictures show the fantastic color range of this little shawl, while the bottom two show me wearing my shawl in a couple of the several different ways it can be worn.
this sweet shawl is perfect to keep the chill off, though i've been known to wear mine kind of like an ascot under my coat. it can be tied up around the neck, similar to a kerchief and can be pinned in front with your favorite pin or brooch to float around your shoulders over your favorite dress. worn around the shoulders, it makes a point in the back, between the shoulder blades that looks really nice.

the colors in this piece are similar to the ones in my primavera scarflette (as they are sisters)- so the colors include lime green, flamingo pink, sunny yellow/orange, bright turquoise, and a cinnamon reddish brown, along with bright purple- a rush of vibrant spring colors. the slightly fluffly boucle type yarn is made of wool, kid mohair and silk around a nylon center strand, for strength and shape.

dimensions: along each side, the primavera shawl is 16" on the inside and 24" inches on the outside, and the shawl is 8" across. due to the slightly fluffy and compressible nature of the yarn, it can stretch and fold quite easily.

Due to the fiber content, I suggest a quick, cool handwash to clean and please air dry.
