Ebony and Ivory

There I was, innocently strolling through one of my favorite vintage markets, with absolutely no intention of buying anything... goodness knows I already have a stash of beads and baubles that will last me a lifetime! Then I saw them and of course, I had to have them!

The beads, flowers and leaves that make up this gorgeous necklace were lying forlorn in a tray when I first saw them. I knew immediately what I would make them in to and here they are!

Ebony and Ivory is such a girlie necklace! It is made from what I think are acrylic leaves and flowers, combined with acrylic beads and rings. Large and small, jet black fire polished glass beads add the perfect accent. Ebony and Ivory sits just under the collarbone when worn, while the leaves hang slightly lower on hand wire wrapped rosary style chains. The necklace is fastened with a gold tone toggle clasp.
