Description

This 3-d art piece is constructed entirely by sewing machine! It's meant to be enjoyed from all sides - it beckons you to come close and explore the inside. I made 8 little art quilts out of my own hand dyed fabric that inter-relate to one another. I then fused them to peltex - the material that is used to make baseball caps brims. I zigzagged the edges to finish them, then zigzagged the pieces together. It sits upon a base made of 2 layers of peltex that's been covered with more of my hand dyed fabric.

The last photo shows all 4 of the inner panels before the final seam was stitched. The base is 12" x 12.5", the house is 10" tall.
