The Silver Cuttle Penguin Pendant

After this cast was complete I immediately saw a penguin pendant in it! This wonderful silver cuttlebone cast really shows the unique lines of the cuttlebone extremely well. The penguin is attached to a silver hoop that will fit over most chains or necklaces. The piece comes with a short leather necklace. Casted in the fall of 2004 the piece is about 1 and half quarters tall and a nickel wide (3.9 cm high x 2.1 cm wide).

Remember that all cuttlebone casts are non-vegan, because the cuttlebone itself comes from a squid like creature called a cuttlefish. That means in order to get the calcium back-plate to do the cast the cuttlefish must be killed.
