Fires and Arches Silver Pendant

Description

This wonderful asymmetrical pendant with a large black stone, with red streaks and splotches, has a wonderful burned feeling to it. The silver back plate is an interesting mixture of arches and right angles that compliment the stone well. The back has been cut out in a rough circle allowing for the majority of the back of the stone to be seen and experienced in a different way. It is attached to large hoop that can fit over almost any chain or necklace. This pendant was constructed in the spring of 2005 and reflects my early trend towards asymmetrical design with the use of negative space. The pendant, including the hoop, is almost 6 cm high by 2.8 cm wide.
