Garnet Clasp Necklace

This is a bit quirky. I had this lovely clasp intended for a double strand necklace, purchased a few years ago. It's sterling with an inset garnet. I want to say it's from Bali but I'm not sure -- I found it at a Bead Bazaar in Landover, MD.

I tried to use it as a clasp for a necklace. But it just didn't seem to be dependable; it was a bit loose and shaky. So lately I was looking at its funny geometry, and decided to feature it in a double drop pendant along with wire-wrapped beads. Included beads are glass (green, gray), garnet, coral (red), and yellow jasper.

Length around is 17 inches. Bottom part of pendant falls approximately 1.5 inches below the line of the necklace. Wire, chain and clasp are sterling silver.
