RASPBERRY RAMIE RUCKSACK recycled subtle stripes sweater drawstring purse, handbag or knitting bag

Description

This bag began life as an ugly Ramie/wool/acrylic/nylon sweater in boring beige/gray. I have repurposed it... I hand dyed the sweater using professional alkaline dye and then made this darling drawstring bag out of it!

There is an outer, lined pocket suitable for a cell phone, but deep enough to hold your sunglasses or keys instead (glasses shown are not included, I need them!). The color is true on my monitor, but be aware all computers show colors differently. A good check is to look at the white in the quilt! If it looks white to you the bag will be the right color.

The inside is lined with an interesting print in deep magenta quilt-shop quality cotton. There is a small inner pocket that will also hold a cell phone, keys, or lipstick (likewise, cell phone pictured is not included!). Tuck a gift certificate for a manicure or pedicure inside for a gift for Mom that will surely please her!

The bottom of the bag has been sewn in an "I" seam to give it stability. The drawstrings are of the same fabric as the lining. When the bag is drawn shut, they are long enough to hang the bag from your shoulder.

Fully open, the bag is about 10" wide at the bottom, and about 12" tall. The bottom is 3" across.

Machine washable if you should so choose.

For 2009, 20% of the profits from my etsy listings (sales less listing fees, CoMS, and mailing supplies) are going to the building of a new Youth Center here in the Greater Knoxville area!
