Commission a Replica of someone's Favorite Pet

Description

This is for you to commission me to do a custom order for you. It will be a sculpture of the dog of your choice, done from your pictures.It will be approximately 2 & 1/2 to 3 & 1/2 inches high (I measure at the top of the front shoulders). It will be done in high quality wool roving as close to the correct colors as I can. It will have glass eyes and a hand made polymer clay nose made by me. It will come with a tiny clay tag on the left hip giving the date it was completed and a Printed Certificate of Authenticity with a picture of it on there. these are pictures of some of the special orders I've sone in the past. My work is all done without patterns or molds, therefore it is truly one-of-a-kind unless otherwise stated...


FELTING is a sculpting process of repeatedly sticking very sharp barbed needles into wads of fiber that 'felts' them together. You shape the piece as you go. I usually do mine over a wire armature for posability.


A NOTE ON UPKEEP OF MY FLUFFY ONES; The first step I take is to Firmly felt the basic body, then with brushing, combing and scissor trimming, the final coat is sculpted. If, due to handling, etc, they get packed down a little, you can take an ordinary yarn needle (or hair pick or other suitable tool) and gently ( I stress gently) lift it back out (for women that have ever tried a teased hairdo, similar to that lifting you did after it was teased to make it stand high) to make it look like it did before.

My designs are made up as I go, all original and I try to take pictures to show all sides. Charming OOAK bears and their friends. Every one will be different!!!!!!!
