Semi-solid red, HANDSPUN YARN

Description

This listing is for one 55 gram, 80 yard skein of hand dyed, handspun corriedale wool. I spin the wool into a lightweight single ply; the resulting fabric has a bit of a sheen, and is warm and light. It feels a lot like Manos del Uruguay.

This yarn is a heavy worsted/Aran weight. With an average skein, I get approx 17-19 sts per 4 inches on a 4.25mm needle, but just use that as information, not a command. What you get depends on your hands, your yarn, your needles. For good results always swatch first.

One skein will make an adult-sized beanie hat. Two skeins will make a small scarf or a pair of mittens, three will make a larger scarf. For an adult, medium sweater, 12 skeins is probably about right.

If you want more of this colourway, let me know. I tend to make them in batches of 4 or 8 skeins.
