Texas Juniper Bottle Stopper

Description

Cool swirling woodgrain on this bottle stopper, turned out of a Juniper branch my brother-in-law harvested in his yard. An evergreen, who's berries are used a wide range of culinary applications, Juniper is best known as the primary flavoring in Gin. In Asia, Juniper is one of the most popular species for use in bonsai. It is also a symbol of longevity, strength, athleticism, and fertility.

Approximately 5 3/5" long, this stopper is sanded super smooth, buffed even smoother, and finished with friction polish. As with all the other stoppers I make, this one is machined from a solid piece of stainless steel, not chrome plated that will flake off. Ever.
