Leather Fire Mask

Description

The mythic idea that the universe is comprised of only four basic elements dates back into prehistoric times. All things were once grouped by certain traits into an association with one of these elements. The zodiac was divided this way as well. By exploring these traditional associations, we can use them as tools for exploring ideas about ourselves.

Aries, Leo, Sagittarius are signs associated with fire.

Burning up with energy and heat. Fire's hot finish is achieved with a glaze of rich red acrylic paint over a glorious yellow base.

This leather mask is hand scribed, sculpted, and meticulously painted using high quality acrylics. Although the design is repeated, due to it's hand made nature, no two masks are alike. Equipped with two nylon braided cord ties, this mask is made to be comfortably worn for long periods of time or proudly displayed on the wall.
