Rosary of Blackstone Beads with Metal-Bound Wooden Crucifix
Description
This is a traditional five-decade Catholic rosary handmade from 6-mm beads (instead of the more typical 8-mm beads) of polished Blackstone beads, with 8-mm Blackstone Paters capped in base metal.Handmade by Isaac.
The crucifix has a wooden cross with silver-toned corpus; the back of the cross is faced with base metal that wraps around the ends of the cross. The center is a Miraculous Medal. The chain is handmade from base-metal eye-pins and small segments of manufactured connective chain, also base metal.
The overall length of the rosary is 24 inches.
The loop of the rosary has a circumference of 32 inches.
The crucifix is 1.75 x 1.0 inches.
The center is 1.0 x 0.75 inches.
"Blackstone" is trade name for a variety of non-precious natural black stones that may be permanently dyed by our supplier. The beads have a glossy, satiny finish.
"Base metal" is an alloy unspecified by our suppliers in which nickel usually predominates.
