Mist on the Moors - Beaded agate cabochon necklace

This necklace was designed for the EBW Team's March 2009 challenge, the theme of which was "Temptation". The cabochon on this necklace has a misty, 3D quality to it that just beckons (or tempts) you to step inside and explore the landscape. For some reason, the image of a misty moor kept coming to mind wihle working on this piece (maybe I've read too much romantic, English literature). The cabochon, including surrounding beadwork, measured 1 1/4" in diameter. The 19" chain is made from double strands of size 11/0 seed beads with red and brown glass beads as accents. The clasp is a toggle style clasp with a wooden bead and a beaded loop.
