The Raven is Her Soul

If you sit quietly enough at the window in my kitchen, there in the branches of the trees next to my house you will find a pair of ravens. They are a bit skittish, and any sudden noise or movement will have them flying to the back of the fields in the apple trees. We feed our little friends all winter long, but we take care to bring them their feed underneath those apple trees in the back of the field.

Sometimes, when they sit so close to the house, I imagine they are letting me know of their presence and that it's time to eat! My husband swears that after I throw their feed and start to walk across the field back to the house, that they are watching me from the trees above. Though, when I turn to look, I don't see them.....

"The Raven is her Soul" was created after the last raven piece I made sold so quickly, and I received many emails asking me if I'd make more. I never make the same piece twice, so I used a different raven image, found objects and beads.

An antique drawer pull is the base of the pendant, and an old chandelier crystal with vintage raven and old latin text is the dangle. The pendant's total length measures 5".

The 17" asymmetrical chain has been hand-wired with fine guage copper wire, vintage black crystal beads and freshwater pearls. I made a dainty copper "S" clasp for the back.
