Hat Making Tool, Hardrock Maple Wooden Wrench for Tightening the Thumb Nuts on the vintage Maillard Allie Formillon tool

This item is a custom designed wooden wrench used to tighten the thumbnuts on the vintage Maillard Allie Formillon.

Offered for the $20.00 price is the wood handled tools. If you would like the handle wrapped in stitched leather, I can do that for an additional charge of $15.00. You'll need to let me know if you want the leather added.

For a Formillon to work correctly, it must have a stout clamping wood ring and mating brass, or steel clamping ring on top, under the Thumbnuts.

Very important to the stiff clamping of each Finger Key of the Formillon, is the cork clamping base.
