This is vintage A. Marque Reproduction Doll. I bought her about 15 year ago at an auction. I do not have any idea who created her, but they did a wonderful job.

A. Marque Dolls are the rarest dolls in the world, of course, this is just a reproduction, but even they are few and far between.

This doll is probably about 40 years old at least. Her body is made from bisque porcelain and is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. She is fully poseable and can be placed in a doll stand also. I believe her hair is mohair and she has painted facial features with holes for ear wires that are no longer there. She has dainty undergarments and what might be a whale boned corset? Her dress is peach and all of her clothes are tea stained I believe for a very old antique look.
There is an A. Marque Signature on the back of her neck which is probably from the mold that was used, it also has the # 12 and the initials bb, this is probably the initials of the person who created her.

Her bottom has the copyright mark of Byron Molds who still create the mold to make this doll.

She could use a tad bit of cleaning and will always need a very gentle touch in positioning her, but she has been around for some time and will be for some time to come.

I have had her in my possession for a long time, I would love for her to go to a very doll loving home.

She is not a children's toy.
